Beware of the Blob!
In 1958 a monstrous blob from outer space emerged from this theater after causing a terror fueled runout of the patrons inside. Every summer the Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville Pennsylvania holds Blobfest to celebrate it’s role in cinematic history. On this quiet night no monsters or running people are in sight, just the illumination of the theater marquee giving light to the entrance of this former opera house turned movie theater. Vaudeville stars and even Harry Houdini once graced its stage. Now it is a great place to watch new and classic movies.
